LeapBound

Pitch - Our hero must save the princess from the top of a very, VERY, long tower. To climb the tower the hero will have to jump from platform to platform upwards while avoiding obstacles and enemies alike. To further add to the adventure the hero will be on a timer and must utilize power ups to reach greater heights and earn more score.

Theme & World - I want a fantastical medieval kind of theme with our hero being a knight and him of course wanting to save the princess in the tower. It’s possible I’ll even make her main captor some sort of evil wizard. I think this theme is great because it fits the story and that means my enemies can be monsters and it’ll still feel right at home.

Characters

Hero - Exactly what it sounds like! He is a hero knight!

Princess - The classic staple to many classic video games is a “damsel in distress”

Evil Wizard (Unsure) - Old evil wizard in blue robes who is responsible for stealing the princess and sending monsters after our hero!

Bird (Unnamed for now) - large crane-like bird that flies overhead, when it flies over the player it will do a small downward and dive straight into the ground in an attempt to skewer the player. Its beak will then be stuck in the ground if it misses.

Bat - small flying enemy that will shoot a sonic wave that pushes the player backward, this is more to bother or ruin the player's momentum instead of outright causing damage.

Turtle?Think of this guy from mario! He’s meant to make the player think about where he lands. He’ll stick to a single platform and walk around it

Woodpecker? - This one is similar to the bird enemy except it will string from the sides rather than from above. So horizontal not vertical. It won’t do any “recon” first, instead it will just appear from the side and move across the screen in an effort to hit a player who may not be paying too much attention. (Not sure yet but I may have them also skewer walls and in turn get stuck and become platforms the player can use)
