Beta
For the beta I have created a new enemy type. A slime! Slimes will move across the ground until they bump into a wall where upon they'll change direction. A nice and simple classic enemy type that just serves to add a bit of variety while adding a threat to the player. I also added a new power-up. Boots! Boots will allow the player to double their jumping capabilities meaning they can skip sections or just generally reach the end goal quicker. Again, this seems like a classic staple in terms of power ups, this usually looks like a jetpack, but my levels are so short I thought this made sense. A start menu has been created and so has a game over screen. I have worked on general level design. The main points include that for the first level the camera will follow the player rather than panning by itself so that they can get a feel of movement in a safe environment, level 2 introduces the camera panning mechanic, level 3 introduces my bird enemy along with my healing item, level 5 introduces the slime, and level 6 introduces the boots.
